Ammee's Babies made its debut in February of 2008 at CHA in Anaheim, CA.  We strive to create products that are excellent in craftsmanship and value.  Our name is on it, we stand behind it 100%.

About Ammee - Cony Larsen

Hello, I'm Cony Larsen, Founder of Ammee's Babies.

Three years ago, in 2008, I viewed a documentary on newborns in Honduras that were sent home from the hospital wrapped in newspaper after the country had been devastated by severe flooding. I wanted to do something to help; my husband suggested I make crochet blankets to donate; I knew I couldn't do it alone.  Crochet blankets would take too long to make. I needed a new product and a new company! 

As a busy mother and grandmother, I often found it was difficult to find time to crochet an entire project. I knew other women were in the same situation.  Our product needed to be unique, high quality, and quick and easy to finish. That's why I chose Hemstitching. I had been hemstitching for a couple of decades and loved it. It was the perfect creative outlet for busy women!  They could finish a blanket in a day, a great beginners project!

Even though trends always change, crocheting seems to remain timeless. I learned to crochet when I was six years old, in first grade.  My crocheting skill has blessed the lives of my entire family, and now, it will bless the lives of other children.  I hope you'll enjoy creating our blankets for all your new precious family additions, and at the same time, help a needy child to enjoy one. Our Milestones
2010 - Ammee's took on another cause, IVF (In Vitro Fertilization).  This was a close and personal challenge in my life. We introduced self-published idea books.  A portion of the sale of the books would be used for this new cause.  They were a hit!  We were able to help our first couple with some of the IVF expenses the insurance company did not cover.  

2011 - Early this summer, Fox Chapel Publishing requested a license to be our publisher.  I'm happy to introduce our first two titles released this month: Crochet Bouquet, and Just Like Me.

2011 - In October we were invited by Country Living Magazine to their annual "Pitch Your Product" program.
